At a young age Lynette Santiago knew that the journey of her life would lead to ministry. She always knew God had a special and unique calling upon her life, yet she never imagined she’d walk in the footprints that her grandparents and parents left behind, which were of having an unquenchable passion for God and His people.
In 1997 she married Freddy Santiago, and the next year she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Liberty University. That same year they returned to the city of Chicago and began to live out their calling as Youth Pastors. During this stage of her life, her husband worked full-time ministry while she worked in corporate America, pursuing her career in Human Resources. In the year 2000, her husband accepted the challenge of being the Associate Pastor of Rebaño Church, but not without his helpmate at his side. From that moment, both Freddy and Lynette began to arduously work at Rebaño, the church founded by Apostle Angel and Ruth Mercado.
On October 26, 2003 a new chapter in the lives of Freddy and Lynette began. Freddy and Lynette were ordained as Senior Pastors of the Chicago campus, Rebaño Church, and as a team they took the challenge of leading an incredible hispanic church of influence in the city of Chicago.
Lynette Santiago travels often to participate as a conference speaker and her teachings are transmitted weekly on various television and radio outlets. She is known for her ability to communicate biblical principles in a practical way where people can both understand and apply them to their daily lives. In addition to being an excellent conference speaker and Bible teacher, she counsels people from all walks of life. Her focus is to uplift the self-esteem of women, as well as to exhort and instruct them to be excellent mothers, wives, and servants of God.
If you could ask Lynette what her desire is, she would answer, “To give a transfusion of encouragement to every living being through the love and passion I feel for Jesus.” Her desire is to serve her generation according to God’s purpose. Lynette currently lives out her purpose: as mother to four precious children Hannah Ruth, Matthew Elijah, Izabella Ruth and Sophia Angelyn; as wife and best friend to her husband Freddy Santiago; and as God’s servant for this appointed time united with her husband as Pastors of Rebaño Church, where God has placed them.
